My DIY Batik-Inspired Desk

When the school-from-home reality became inevitable last year, I wanted to come up with a creative work station for the kiddies without having to buy new desks! We made it a fun project during the summer as we waited for school to begin. It became one of our highlights last year.

Even we were amazed how nice it turned out!

And all we needed were materials we had lying around the house and a couple of days of bonding over a mutual project. A definite win-win.

*Try out different design methods from other countries for your next school project. This Batik method is originally from Indonesia which opened up a teaching moment about the country it came from. It turned out to be the perfect opportunity to learn hands-on about a different culture.
